<div>After 2 successful shows at the Florida State Museum of Art and Bird’s Aphrodisiac</div>
<div>Shack, Glitter Chariot returns to the Tallahassee area for 1st Friday at Railroad Square</div>
<div>in the 621 Gallery. The group will be back together for a week of workshopping songs</div>
<div>for an upcoming record and performances in New Orleans, Los Angeles and New York</div>
<div>and will be highlighting some of the songs in a new sculpture/performance during 1st</div>
<div>Friday.</div>
<div>Entitled <em>Magnificent Obsession: Scene One</em>, Glitter Chariot promises a night of deep</div>
<div>and touching songs about love and the loss often associated with it. The songs are</div>
<div>inspired by the continued exploration into melodramas of the 1950s and in particular</div>
<div>those of the master Douglas Sirk, from which the title is derived.</div>

The First work shop will be on December 3rd and is a kids work shop with ornament making and a visit from Santa from 1-4 pm. The second work shop will be hosted by FSU professor and resident artist of the gallery Amy Fleming and will cover printmaking techniques on December 10th. The third and Final workshop will correlate with the Beaded fairies exhibition and will be fairy making on the 17th  from 1-3pm. <div>The new <strong>621STOR</strong> will also be opening, with a revolving series of works of art from local artists and artisans selling for $100 or less.</div>
<div>The galleries and store will be open from 6-9.</div>
<div>So come out and show support for local non profit business, FSU club associations  and artists!</div>

<div><strong>The 621 Gallery</strong> 2011/12 exhibition season opens on  First Friday, September 2, with two artists who explore the natural  world: Texas artist, Robin Germany&#8217;s, <em>Two Worlds Apart</em>, with color photographs that are split between the known environment and the unexpected world below the water line (<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.robingermany.com/" target="_blank">www.robingermany.com</a>).   New Hampshire based artist Lynn Richardson&#8217;s large-scale installations  that investigate the complex consequences of environmental disaster (<a href="http://lynnrichardson.ca/">www.lynnrichardson.ca</a>).</div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is our great pleasure to present the works of Arthur Deshaies.  Former Florida State University professor, he is a highly regarded painter and printmaker with an impressive number of exhibitions to his credit and a host of works in major public and private collections.  In his work Deshaies attempts to achieve a state of &#8220;dismemberment and discontinuity&#8221; for &#8220;disinventing&#8221; art.  The exhibit opens June 3rd at 6pm.  For more information  call 850-224-6163, join 621 Gallery on facebook, twitter, and visit  621gallery.org.</p>
