621 Gallery Artist in Residence
Current Resident Artist: Amy Fleming
The Artist in Residence receives a studio space inside the Gallery’s facility in exchange for volunteer service to the Gallery. In addition, this individual also holds a seat on the Gallery’s Board of Directors and has a spot in the annual rotation of exhibitions.
Only artists from Tallahassee and the surrounding area will be given consideration for this position. The individual must be a practicing artist working in a media or form that is appropriate for the space provided. The dimensions of the studio are 20′x14′ with a 12′ ceiling, a cement floor and additional storage accessible alongside a loading ramp located behind the space.
The selection process includes a committee review of a proposal submitted by the artist including 15-20 images on disk at 300 dpi and/or 500-600 K for jpg’s, artist statement, and resume or vitae.
Next Residency is from March to August, 2012

Artist in Residence Responsibilities
Work regularly in the studio space provided
Hold a seat on the Board of Directors, attend regular monthly meetings and participate in Gallery events as needed.
Gallery sit most Sundays from 1-5pm (except July and August).
Teach one workshop during the residency (for a stipend)
Be present in the Artist Residence each First Friday, where work can be sold
Pay $50 per month to help underwrite the Utilities (space is heated and air conditioned)
