June 6, 6-9pm: First Friday opens with two new exhibitions:
“LeMoyne at 50: HIRAM WILLIAMS from the permanent collection”. Please join 621 Gallery as we help celebrate LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts’ 50th Anniversary with an exhibition of large scale paintings and drawings from their permanent collection by the acclaimed painter, Hiram Williams (1917-2003). Paintings in the Large front Gallery and drawings in the Nan Boynton Memorial Gallery.
Noah Z. Brock‘s mathematically derived sculptures and Nathan Grimes‘ chance-based paintings are featured in “Structures: Aleatoric and Intended”. Despite being the products of two diametrically opposed creative processes, Tallahassee artists Brock and Grimes remarkable works communicate an eerily similar and otherworldly abstract aesthetic.
