Artist Statement:

I believe in the experimental nature of art and the creative process. Making art is my daily work and it challenges me in ways that push the limit of what I know and what I am interested in learning more about. Art methods and materials are choices that give an idea form and function. It is the starting point for a visual concept to emerge into something with a life of its own and that discovery can be something unexpected. In my opinion, there is nothing more satisfying than that.  I was watching an art interview on Youtube and I liked what  Robert Rauschenberg said, “If you know something, your information is useless unless you share it.”

Artist Bio:

Since the 1980’s my focus has been to make immersive black-light environments. That is how I came to find my passion for making art with people. Collaborative art gives me joy because sharing a concept and developing it inspires everyone individually through a collective experience. Relational aesthetics relies on community participation and interaction with the audience which gives my artwork its direction.

The Shape Painting Method A Social Art Technique:

Paper Making and Collage Constructions made from painted cardboard boxes.
